Obesity is the most visible problem of today. It sometimes seems like a contagion, given the intensity with which it spreads. We’ve come up with hormonal treatment and aesthetic surgeries, but there is only one proper and natural way to deal with this menace, and that is by finding a personalized nutritional plan and sticking to it. When it comes to being on a diet, looking like a model or fitting into your favorite jeans are just the visual benefits of a much deeper healthy regeneration of the body.

Although phrases like “having large bones” or “simply genetics” are an ongoing thing, and more often than not, an excuse, the truth is that the main reason behind global obesity are global food trends. High calorie, low quality food is also full of various toxins and substances that have a devastating effect on our organism. Liquid diets are an effective and proven method for losing weight, but more importantly, for clearing the body from all these harmful toxins. As everything else in life, it has its negative and positive sides.

An Efficient Diet

Diet is a Greek word defining the eating habits of an individual. Diets that are good for losing weight are those that consist of taking in fewer calories than you used to. For the purpose of introducing a drop in calorie-intake, liquid diets are second to none. Replacing a meal or two daily with smoothies will drastically reduce your daily calorie count, paving the way for your imminent weight loss.

But because this change is so rapid, it can sometimes trigger the weight loss yo-yo effect. What this means is that while you are on this diet you will lose your weight rapidly, but once you return to a a regular diet, there is a good chance that you will instantly regain all those lost pounds, and perhaps even add on a few.

A Sustainable Diet

In order for any diet to be truly efficient it needs to be sustainable first. What this means is that a good diet, and a holistic diet at that, is not one you can maintain for a couple of weeks every time you gain some weight and then go back to your old ways, but one that you can keep for a longer period of time without feeling restricted in any way. This is why a liquid diet is best only when it is partial. Instead of changing all your solid meals for liquid ones, mix them up! Try to replace one or two solid meals a day with liquid meals, and you will see that this method is not only easier to maintain, but also less invasive on the body.

A great step in this direction would be to replace your daily coffee intake for a healthy skinny tea, or even better, specialized teas such as those from Slim Tea. This is a change so small, that in your daily business you will hardly notice it, but on the level of your general health the change will be drastic, in a positive way. Tea still contains the dose of caffeine that you need in order to get through the day, but is also better for your health because it clears all harmful toxins in your body and helps you lose some weight on its own.

A Doctor’s Approval

Before you start a liquid diet, it would be best to consult with a doctor. This is especially important for people on insulin and women who are expecting, since this diet, at least in its most drastic form, is harsh, and not recommended for just about anyone.

As anything else that is good in life, liquid diets are great for your health only when done in moderation. Before starting one, make sure to do proper research on the topic and consult your doctor. Afterwards, all you have to do is make a sound diet plan and schedule in order to drastically improve your life standard.

Today I want to share some simple but often neglected “Must Dos” when you decide to complete a training session.

1. Warm up specifically – obvious but amazingly not carried out in particular with resistance training. Whether you are going to be doing cardio or resistance or a mixture it is important to warm up specifically. So if you are going to run, then do a light run. If you are going to do the rower then row for a few minutes. If you are going to do weights then do the specific exercises at 50% of the expected high intensity weight.

2. Stay Hydrated – forget your sports drinks and energy drinks just drink water. And make sure to drink water before, during and after the training session. The other drinks create false temporary spikes in energy not to mention your insulin levels (trigger to fat storage!) If you don’t remain hydrated then your performance will be effected. Remember we are at a minimum 70% water.

3. Keep workouts short but intense – don’t fall into the trap of the low intensity fat burning zones that are splattered all over the cardio machines and on posters on the wall. Use your common sense or as I like to call it “uncommon sense” – the harder you work the more effective it will be. ANd even if you are superman you will not be able to work hard and long. So focus on short duration high intensity for maximum results.

4. Step it Up – Our bodies are amazing machines with incredible recovery so make sure to step it up each and every session. Once you have stimulated the body through the exercise and fed it good recovery foods you will physically be capable of increasing your workload each and every session.

5. Focus Focus Focus – last but not least. If your mind is not focused on the job at hand you will quit (or definitely decrease workload) when the going gets tough during the session. What is driving you to complete the training session? What is the carrot at the end of a few weeks? Keep your mind on the prize. It is there for the taking.

Implement these 5 tips and your results will be much improved. Keep mindful of these 5 tips before every training session.

1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and
parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.

8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.

12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry..

13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey
is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don’t worry; God never
blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.. But the second one is up
to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an
answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t
save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ‘In five years, will
this matter?’

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or
didn’t do.

35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative — dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d
grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come…

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.”

If you want to strip fat from your body in the shortest period of time then you need to incorporate PHA into your training regime.  This is where you alternate lower and upper body resistance training exercises.  Choose between 4 to 10 exercises and keep moving between each exercise with minimal rest.

The reason this strategy works so will is that you are forcing bloodflow up and down the body creating an aerobic effect and resulting fat burning.  Just think about how hard it is for your body to move the blood from leg muscles to chest muscles for example.

EFAs are crucial to fat burning.  IF you are not eating alot of EFAs you are limiting the amount of fat burning you are experiencing.  The truth is that there are actually 2 types of fat – Good Fat and Bad Fat.

We must avoid saturated and trans fats like the plague. However there are good fats we need to eat which include oily fish such as salmon, trout, mackeral and also other sources such as nuts/nut butters and avocados.

If you just increase consumption for the next week you will become leaner that alone!!
